A letter to my Family ❤
Three months ago, I remember getting a call from Ma’am Huda. The moment I got off the phone with her, I remember thinking “She will be calling each 60 of us, damn this experience will really be different and Amal Academy does care about its fellows”
After that, the journey started. The journey, I am going to cherish all my life. From that awkwardness on the first day to today, having a bond with you all so tight that it actually hurts when I think that this is ending. Okay, let’s not go there.
Oh, take me back to the start….. (But without Pw’s please :p)
Each day of this journey was a new experience, that had a deep impact on me. This journey of growth was really astonishing and it wouldn’t have been possible without you guys, especially Ma’am Huda and Sir Zeeshan. Never have I ever had a chance to have such great mentors like you guys. You people ensured that each one of us gets the best out of this opportunity and was a support to everyone whenever we felt like giving up.
I remember when I started this fellowship, anxiety, and depression had taken a toll on me. But this fellowship turned out to be my silver lining. It was everything I felt was missing. In the start, thinking about giving up but then having our first circle meeting, interacting with Imab and Mayab, then thinking about giving it a chance. Then meeting such awesome people in my second circle and having so many good friends who became family with the time and then I never thought of going back. These guys became my people. People I was proud to have in my life. Thank you for having my back.
Waleed, Hamza, Afeen, Yaseen… you all are amazing! Touba, you too!!
And obviously, MAHNOOR, how I can forget you… I am so so so happy to have you as a friend. You da best my friend. All those late-night deep conversations, be it about food, our plans, or how we feel made me realize one thing, that you are awesome ❤. Our conversation about GG, Brooklyn-99, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I love all of it, each and everything.
Batch 190, each one of you is truly amazing and inspiring. I got a chance to meet some beautiful and so strong people that it inspires me to become a better person every day. And let me tell you all, I AM PROUD OF YOU ALL!
